Born in a middle-class family
 Father (Eric Atkinson) was a farmer.
                                       
 He was Rejected by many TV shows because of his speaking disorder and stammering problem.



  • WHY IS IT MR.BEEN?


Originally, he was going to be called Mr. White. Then the show’s 

creators began throwing around some vegetable names and considered 

Mr.Cauliflower before deciding on Mr. Bean.

Only 14 episodes of the live-action series

of Mr.Been were ever produced (1990-1995),

Also 2 movies, an animated series, a video game, and some books.



  • MR.BEEN ISN'T HIS FIRST SUCCESS 

At the beginning of his career, he appeared in many films and shows but this BBC comedy show brought him the first Fame.




















  • HOW DID HE OVERCOME THE STAMMERING PROBLEM
In his words, he said,
“It comes and goes. I find when I play a character other than myself, the stammering disappears. That may have been some of the inspiration for pursuing the career I did.”

He has degrees from two universities, one from Oxford University and

another degree in electrical engineering from Newcastle University.






THE BEEN BOND :)


He is a huge James Bond fan and even got to play a supporting role in the movie ‘Never Say Never Again’ in the year 1983.
