Honey is  the only food that does not spoil while in an edible state.

• It is because of its water content(17%) being lesser than that of bacteria or fungi.
• Lower water content results in dehydration of bacteria and so the honey have resistance to spoiling.
• Its Acidity and the presence of hydrogen peroxide are more  factors for its eternal life.
